The lineup includes perennial electronic music superstars  Kaskade, Seven Lions and BassnectarMarshmello should have fun with a Texas crowd raised on the sounds of Electro and Southern Hip-Hop.

Insomniac brings The Bassrush Experience to Todd Mission, TX as well. I am excited to experience this as Andy C and Diesel Boy will bring it for the Drum and Bass crowd deep in the heart of Texas. I am curious about the project Ephwurd, which is being described as “The brainchild of Datsik and Bais Haus according to the Middlelands website.” To add to the excitement, Game of Thrones fans will get an opportunity to see Kristian Nairn, also known as the character Hodor from the HBO series.

Hip-Hop and Electronic Dance Music continue to push boundaries and constantly have seen their sounds merging together. Danny Brown, Rae Sremmurd, Michael Christmas, Flatbush Zombies, Jurassic 5 headline Middlelands performing live, each bringing their unique styles and sound. I see collaborations from the Hip-Hop and Dance Music community continuing in the future as they are both movements of the youth. These movements are the counter-culture to society’s norm.

The lineup is filled with Texas talent including, Crizzly, DJ Mel, Prismo, Madhatter, and Wavedash. Talented artists from around the state are listed in the section labeled “Knights of the Shire” on the Middlelands event Flyer. Bring your Texas flags and show these guys love as they put on for their home state. Let’s make sure these guys play in front of a sea of Texas flags!

Middlelands is scheduled for May 5th-May 7th. The full lineup can be seen on the Middlelands website. Tickets to Middlelands can be purchased here. Camping passes are also available for purchase via the website.
